Dean Martin - Let It Snow

Dean Martin - Let It Snow

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow let it snow let it snow

Man it doesn't show signs of stopping
And I brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned down low
Let it snow let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm

And the fire is slowing dying
And my dear we're still good-byeing
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow let it snow let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really grab me tight
All the way home I'll be warm

And the fire is slowing dying
And my dear we're still good-byeing
But as long as you'd love me so
Let it snow let it snow let it snow

WHAM - Last Christmas

Tussen 1982 en 1986 heeft Wham! een aantal grote hits scoorde, in Nederland zelfs twee nr. 1 hits, namelijk "Wake me up before you go go" en "The edge of heaven".

WHAM - Last Christmas

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby do you recognise me?
Well it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me

(Happy Christmas!) I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I Love You" I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now I know you'd fool me again

(CHORUS)

(Oooh. Oooh Baby)

A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice
My God I thought you were someone to rely on
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Oooh Oooh
Now I've found a real love you'll never fool me again
(CHORUS)

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
(Gave you my heart)
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Next year
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone special
special
someone
someone
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone special
who'll give me something in return
I'll give it to someone
hold my heart and watch it burn
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone special
I've got you here to stay
I can love you for a day
I thought you were someone special
gave you my heart
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone
last christmas I gave you my heart
you gave it away
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone

Bianca Ryan - Why Couldn't It Be X-mas Every Day

It Be Christmas Every Day" uitbracht.

Bianca Ryan - Why Couldn't It Be Christmas Every Day

I wait for Christmas all year long
How I wish I that I could only change it
Take the calendar and re-arrange it
Then every day would be so nice
Candy Canes and all the Snow that's fallin
Every summer would be Deck the Hallin

Every day at Christmas comes from me to you
So I pray…And I wait… And I hope that it doesn't come late.

Why couldn't it be Christmas everyday.
Riding around with Santa on his Sleigh
Don't you know if you'll be good just like you should
You'll here those jingle bell rings

Why couldn't it be Christmas everynight
So that it will meet those twinkling lights
When you say every days a holiday
You'll here those calendars sing

Why couldn't it be Christmas Christmas Christmas everyday
Just believe in Christmas Christmas Christmas all the way

And every time I see your eyes
Their some mistletoe that's right above you
Where the Christmas gifts do say I love you
There some that say it's just a dream
But close your eyes and you can almost see it
All you have to do is just believe it
Maybe there's a stocking full of Christmas Joy

So I pray… and I wait… and I hope that it doesn't come late
Why couldn't it be Christmas everyday
Riding around with Santa on his Sleigh
Don't you know if you'll be good just like you should
You'll here those jingle bell rings
Why couldn't it be Christmas Christmas Christmas everyday
Just believe in Christmas Christmas Christmas all the way

Whatever kind of weather
Summer, Spring and Fall will melt together
Now I can see it clear
That we can make December last throughout the year

Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

There's just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is...
You

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
You baby

I won't ask for much this Christmas
I don't even wish for snow
I'm just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe
I won't make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won't even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeers click
'Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do
Baby all I want for Christmas is you
Ooh baby
All the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children's
Laughter fills the air
And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa won't you bring me the one I really need
Won't you please bring my baby to me...

Oh I don't want a lot for Christmas
This is all I'm asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door
Oh I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas is...
You

All I want for Christmas is you... baby

Queen - Thank God It's Christmas

Queen - Thank God Its Christmas lyrics

Oh my love we've had our share of tears
Oh my friend we've had our hopes and fears
Oh my friends it's been a long hard year
But now it's Christmas
Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas

The moon and stars seem awful cold and bright
Let's hope the snow will make this Christmas right
My friend the world will share this special night
Because it's Christmas
Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
For one night

Thank God it's Christmas yeah
Thank God it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
Can it be Christmas?
Let it be Christmas
Ev'ry day

Oh my love we've lived in troubled days
Oh my friend we have the strangest ways
All my friends on this one day of days
Thank God it's Christmas
Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
For one day

Thank God it's Christmas
Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
Oooh yeah
Thank God it's Christmas
Yes yes yes yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
For one day

A very merry Christmas to you all

John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)

John Lennon - Happy Xmas (War Is Over)

(Yoko Ono & John Lennon)

(Happy Xmas Kyoko
Happy Xmas Julian)

So this is Xmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is Xmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Xmas (war is over)
For weak and for strong (if you want it)
For rich and the poor ones (war is over)
The world is so wrong (if you want it)
And so happy Xmas (war is over)
For black and for white (if you want it)
For yellow and red ones (war is over)
Let's stop all the fight (now)

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

And so this is Xmas (war is over)
And what have we done (if you want it)
Another year over (war is over)
A new one just begun (if you want it)
And so happy Xmas (war is over)
We hope you have fun (if you want it)
The near and the dear one (war is over)
The old and the young (now)

A very Merry Xmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear

War is over, if you want it
War is over now

Happy Xmas

Jose Feliciano - Feliz Navidad

Jose Feliciano - Feliz Navidad

Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Prospero Ano y Felicidad

Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Feliz Navidad
Prospero Ano y Felicidad

I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas
From the bottom of my heart

Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas

Chris Rea - Driving Home For Christmas

I'm driving home for Christmas
I can't wait to see those faces
I'm driving home for Christmas
Yea I'm moving down that line
And it's been so long
But I will be there
To sing this song
To pass the time away
Driving in my car
Christmas
Gonna take some time
Top to toe in tailbacks
Got red lights all around
But soon there'll be a freeway
My feet on holy ground
So I sing for you
Though you can't hear me
When I get trough
And feel you near me
Driving in my car
Driving home for Christmas
With a thousand memories
I take look at the driver next to me
He's just the same
Just the same
Top to toe in tailbacks
Got red lights all around
Driving home for Christmas, yea
Get my feet on holy ground
So I sing for you
Though you can't hear me
When I get trough
And feel you near me
Driving in my car
Christmas
Driving in my car
Driving home for Christmas
Driving home for Christmas
I'm driving home for Christmas
Oh, I can't wait to see those faces
I'm driving home for Christmas, yea
Well I'm moving down that line
And it's been so long
But I will be there
I sing this song
To pass the time away
Driving in my car
Driving home for Christmas
It's gonna take some time
But I'll get there
Top to toe in tailbacks
Oh, I got red lights on the run
But soon there'll be a freeway
Get my feet on holy ground
So I sing for you
Though you can't hear me
When I get trough
And feel you near me
I am driving home for Christmas
Driving home for Christmas
With a thousand memories
I take look at the driver next to me
He's just the same
Just the same
Top to toe in tailbacks
Oh, I got red lights on the run
I'm driving home for Christmas, yea
Get my feet on holy ground
So I sing for you
Though you can't hear me
When I get trough
And feel you near me
Driving in my car
Driving home for Christmas
Driving home for Christmas
With a thousand memories

MUD - Lonely this Christmas

Mud - Lonely This Christmas

Try to imagine
A house that's not a home
Try to imagine
A Christmas all alone
That's where I'll be
Since you left me
My tears could melt the snow
What can I do without you?
I got no place, no place to go

It'll be lonely this Christmas
Without you to hold
It'll be lonely this Christmas
Lonely and cold
It'll be cold, so cold
Without you to hold
This Christmas

Each time I remember
The day you went away
and how I would listen
to the things you had to say
I just break down
as I look around
and the only things I see
are loneliness and emptyness
and an unlit Christmas tree

It'll be lonely this Christmas
Without you to hold
It'll be lonely this Christmas
Lonely and cold
It'll be cold, so cold
Without you to hold
This Christmas

(spoken verse)
Do You remember last year
When You and I were together
We never thought there'd be an end
and I rember looking at you then
and I remember thinking
That Chrismas must have been made for us
Cause Darling this is the time of year
That you really, you really need love
When it means so very, very much

(Spoken over Chorus)
So it'll be so lonely this Christmas
Without you to hold
It'll be so very lonely
Lonely and cold

It'll be lonely this Christmas
Without you to hold
It'll be lonely this Christmas
Lonely and cold
It'll be cold, so cold
Without you to hold
This Christmas

It'll be cold, so cold
Without you to hold
This Christmas

Merry Chrismas, Darling
Wherever you are

I Want You to Want Me

Ooit zei wijlen leadzanger Kurt Cobain van Nirvana: "We sound just like Cheap Trick, only the guitars are louder."
