Kane - No Surrender

Kane is een rockband uit Nederland, de oorspronkelijke leden zijn de zanger, Dinand Woesthoff en de gitarist, Dennis van Leeuwen. Hun muziek wordt omschreven als gitaarrock en zou geïnspireerd zijn door de Ierse rockband, U2. De band werd in 1998 opgericht en sindsdien hebben maar liefst 19 bandleden in de groep gezeten.

Pas in de zomer van 1999 zou de band doorbreken met "Where Do I Go Now" en stond maar liefst 1,5 jaar in de Nederlandse Album top 100 en bracht het tot dubbel platina.

Vervolgens zou Kane de jaren daarop allerlei awards binnenslepen zoals de MTV en TMF award. Ook een Edison viel hun ten eer. Ze zouden ook op Parkpop en Pinkpop als grote publiekstrekkers optreden.

Vorig jaar (2009) brachten ze hun 5de Album, No Surrender waarvan de gelijknamige song "No Surrender" dat ikzelf erg mooi vind. Merkwaardig genoeg werd het geen nr. 1 hit. In de Nederlandse Top 40 bereikte de single slechts de 3de hoogste positie, maar bleef wel 21 weken staan.
